Baseball Practice - Hitting Tips and Drills for Baseball Coaches & Players

  1. Pretty good baseball drills. I like the diagram with the baseball set up in the diagonal in front of the plate. And the importance of tossing the ball in front of the plate.

    Your batter was in a big hurry to reset and rarely finished his swing. You did a good job getting him to do drills to get short and inside the ball.

    But he needs to really extend to the point of discomfort on the follow through. He is cutting down his power with the short follow thru.

    The other thing is, good hitters cannot keep their shoulders level. The back shoulder always comes in lower than the front shoulder. The chin has to stay still so the shoulder goes underneath the chin during the swing.

    Good stuff though.
